The fourth and final event in the 2011 Lakeland Trails series, and arguably the most scenic of them all. Skirting the Old Man of Coniston massif, the trail descends through ancient oak woodland and finishes alonside Coniston Water itself. A less competitive Challenge event sets off one hour before the more serious Trail Race, both following the same well marked and marshalled route.
