The International SkyRace Valmalenco-Valposchiavo 2007 is proud to host the first European Skyrunning Championship. To this spectacular race, which in the past three editions represented Switzerland among the Buff®-Skyrunner® World Series, are expected about 500 athletes of international level.
The SkyRace starts in Lanzada in Valmalenco (Valtellina, Italy) and, after for 31km on old Smugglers' tracks, arrives in the suggestive historical centre of Poschiavo (Switzerland), located about 35km from St. Moritz/Engadin.
Race top point is the Passo di Campagneda at 2627m of altitude, which offers the best view of the Bernina Group. The downhill mostly winds across dirt roads and old paths.
Course Record: F Angela Mudge (GBR) 3h 10' 18" in 2006 - M Ricardo Mejia (MEX) 2h 34' 39" in 2005
